Gerald G. Kielian
Gerald Kielian was sworn in as the Will County Public Defender on February 1, 2016. He graduated from Joliet West High School in 1965. In 1966, Mr. Kielian joined the United States Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. He attended the University of Illinois, graduating in 1972. Three years later, Mr. Kielian received his Juris Doctor from the Valparaiso University School of Law.
Gerald Kielian started his legal career as a Will County Assistant State’s Attorney. He left to pursue defense work at the Public Defender’s Office and later his own private practice. Kielian has been specializing in criminal defense since 1990.
