Mr. Ficarelli attended Georgetown University Law School and admitted to the Illinois bar in 1978.  Before joining the Public Defender’s Office, he was an Assistant State’s Attorney in Will County.  Mr. Ficarelli previously was a senior partner with the national law firm of Hinshaw&Culbertson LLP and was co-chair for the Local Government Group representing counties, municipalities, school districts, and park districts.

He joined the Will County Public Defender’s office in May 2021, and is currently assigned to the Juvenile Division.
