Mairead DeWitt-Studer attended DePaul University, graduating Cum Laude in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She received her Juris Doctor from the Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2023.

While in law school, she interned for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, handling misdemeanor, traffic, preliminary hearings, and felony cases. Prior to joining the Will County Public Defender’s Office, she worked for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, and practiced consumer protection law as an associate for a law firm.
