Julie Primozic is a felony Assistant Public Defender who also volunteers on the Mental Health Court Team.  She graduated from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.  Ms. Primozic went on to attend Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where she worked with the Innocence Project to assist those wrongfully convicted and incarcerated in the state of Michigan. 
 

After graduating with her Juris Doctor, she interned at the Cook County Public Defender’s Office - Homicide Task Force.  On January 24, 2007, Ms. Primozic began her career with the Will County Public Defender’s Office.  While working full time, she went back to school earning her M.A. from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Forensic Psychology.  She has extensive experience in both jury and bench trials, motions, and all types of litigation with a particular specialization in mental health. 

In her free time, she enjoys fishing and traveling.
